Small non-coding RNAs and their potential role in assessing the fertility of a married couple in assisted reproductive technology programs
The authors carried out a systematic analysis of scientific data on the impact of small non-coding RNAs on gametogenesis, embryogenesis, and outcomes of in vitro fertilization programs. Despite the fact that there is a rapid development of assisted reproductive technologies, the rate of successful embryo implantations in the uterine cavity is still at a fairly low level. Therefore, at the moment, scientists are actively searching for the ideal biomarker that determines the quality of gametes and their potential in the formation of a high-quality embryo with the further development of physiological pregnancy. An analysis of the data available in the literature has led to the conclusion that the investigation of small non-coding RNAs with the aim of assessing the fertility of a married couple is extremely promising, relevant, and in tune with the times and will be able to increase the effectiveness of in vitro fertilization programs.Shamina M.A., Timofeeva A.V., Kalinina E.A.
